Human Body

Human Body VR Workshop

Can be adapted to compliment the national curriculum for Years 3-6

An Ideal first lesson for children studying the human body or to consolidate learning.
The practical session aims to immerse the children in the human body and sparking their fascination.

The children will take a 360 degree tour of the various parts of the body and how they work.

This workshop can be broken down to take tours of  the skeleton, Circulatory system and digestive system. Or can be used as an introduction to the topic, taking less detailed tour of all 3.

PRACTICAL SESSION – Focus on exploring the different parts of the human body. For instance looking at the skull and brain and why the skull is hard or looking inside a beating heart to see how the blood moves around, or looking at how food moves through the human system.

During the session, the children were given the opportunity to take a 360-degree virtual tour of the human body using the VR headsets. Highly detailed and 3 D views of body parts spark a lot of questions and interest from children.

IMPACT ON LEARNING

This VR experience generates questioning, which allowed the teacher to tailor future lessons to meet the children’s needs. It exposed students to language that they might not have experienced normally and gives the children the chance to explore the human body in a safe and purposeful way.
